চলচ্চিত্রের স্বার্থ বিরোধী কর্মকাণ্ডের সঙ্গে জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে এনে প্রযোজক ও শিল্পী সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক জায়েদ খানকে নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা করেছেন চলচ্চিত্রের ১৮ টি সংগঠন। এর মাস তিন আগে অভিনেতা ও শিল্পী সমিতির সভাপতি মিশা সওদাগরকেও অবাঞ্ছিত ঘোষণা করেছিল সংগঠনগুলো। তা এখনো বহাল থাকছে। বুধবার( ১৫ জুলাই)  এফডিসির জহির রায়হান ল্যাব হলরুমে।আয়োজিত এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে জায়েদ খানের বিরুদ্ধে বেশ কিছু অভিযোগ এনে এ ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়।এ সংবাদ সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন চলচ্চিত্র প্রযোজক সমিতির সভাপতি, সাধারণ সম্পাদক, চলচ্চিত্র পরিচালক সমিতির সভাপতি, সাধারণ সম্পাদকসহ অন্য সংগঠনগুলোর নেতাকর্মীরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

চলমান এই করোনা সংকটের কারণে গত পাঁচ মাস ধরে চলচ্চিত্রের সকল কার্যক্রম বন্ধ রয়েছে। ঠিক এই সময়ে জায়েদ খানকে সিদ্ধান্ত হওয়ার বিষয়টি  মেনে নিতে পারছেন না চলচ্চিত্রের সিনিয়র শিল্পীরা।
বাংলা সিনেমা জীবন্ত কিংবদন্তি এবং প্রযোজক, পরিচালক মাসুম পারভেজ সোহেল রানা দুঃখ প্রকাশ করে বলেন এই সময়ে,এই সিন্ধান্ত নেওয়া উচিৎ হয়নি বলে আমি মনে করি।করোনা কালে সবচেয়ে বেশি সাহায্য করেছেন বাংলাদেশ চলচ্চিত্র শিল্পী সমিতির বর্তমান কমিটির সদস্যরা।সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে দেখেছি অনেকে জায়েদকে প্রশংসা করেছেন।যেখানে ডাঃ পর্যন্ত সেবা দিতে ভয় পাচ্ছেন সেখানে চলচ্চিত্র শিল্পী সমিতির তাদের চেহারা দেখিয়ে, ফান্ড কালেকশন করে নয়বার সাহায্য করেছেন। এটা যদি প্রশংসা না করে সমালোচনা করেন তাহলে কাজ করতে পারবেন যে কেউ এসে।একটা ডিসিশন নেওয়ার আগে যাকে নিষিদ্ধ হওয়া হয় বা তার বিরুদ্ধে কোনো অ্যাশন দিতে হয়।তাহলে অবশ্যই তাকে আত্মসমর্পণ করার সুযোগ দেওয়া উচিৎ।

একটা লোকে ফাঁসি দিতে হলেও তো জিজ্ঞাসা করা হয়, যে তুমি খুন করেছো কি না।শিল্পী সমিতির যারা সিনিয়র সদস্য আছেন তাদের সঙ্গে আলাপ আলোচনা করেও কাজটা করতে পারতেন।আমি যতটুকু ফেসবুকে দেখেছি,যে মানুষের বিরুদ্ধে একটা ডিসিশন দিতে হবে তাকে তো কথার বলার সুযোগ দেওয়া উচিৎ। যে কোনো সে এই কাজগুলো করেছেন। সেটা করে হুট করে নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে। বিষয়টি আমি মনে করি নিয়মতান্ত্রিক হয়েছে বলে মনে করিনা।যটুকু শুনলাম তাতে মনে হচ্ছে একতরফা সিন্ধান্ত হয়েছে মনে হচ্ছে।চার থেকে পাঁচটা মেন সমিতি বাকি যেগুলো আছে সেগুলো সহযোগী সংগঠন।আমি জেনেছি, কম বেশি সব সংগঠনকে শিল্পী সমিতির করোনাকালে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়েছেন।বাংলাদেশ চলচ্চিত্রের অনেক অবদান রয়েছেন সদ্য প্রায়ত কণ্ঠশিল্পী এন্ড্রু কিশোর।

তার শেষকৃত্যে অনুষ্ঠানে রাজশাহীতে চলচ্চিত্রের কয়টা সংগঠনের নেতারা গিয়েছেন।জায়েদ এই করোনা উপেক্ষা করে বাংলাদেশ চলচ্চিত্র শিল্পী সমিতির পক্ষে  ফুলেল শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে ছুটে গিয়েছেন ঢাকা থেকে রাজশাহীতে এটা যদি আপনার সুদৃষ্টিতে না দেখেন তাহলে হবে না।একজন মানুষ একটি দায়িত্বে থাকলে ভুলভান্তি হতে পারে সে তো একজন মানুষ।সেই জন্য তাকে সতর্ক না করে একবারে নিষিদ্ধ করা সিন্ধান্তটা সঠিক মনে করিনা আমি।আর একজন প্রযোজক অর্থ ব্যয় করেন চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণ করার জন্য, এবং পরিচালক একজন গল্পকে উপস্থাপন করে দর্শকের সামনে,কিন্তু একজন শিল্পীর চরিত্র বিক্রি করে কিন্তু সিনেমাটা চলে। তাই কোনো সিন্ধান্ত নেওয়ার আগে শিল্পী সমিতির অন্য যারা সিনিয়র সদস্যরা আছে তাদের সঙ্গে আলাপ আলোচনা করা উচিত ছিল।বাংলাদেশ চলচ্চিত্রের বর্তমান যে অবস্থা সেই জায়গায় দাড়িয়ে এমন সিন্ধান্ত কাম্য নয়।
